《51》Saga Journey - Yoshinogari Site (Part 2)...Ancient romance and the unprecedented Yoshinogari boom
- In March 1989, a part of the excavation site was opened to the public. At that time, the number of visitors to Yoshinogari reached about one million in two months. In April 1991, the number of visitors reached 4 million in one month.
- At present, the excavation site has been backfilled to protect the remains, and instead, the moated settlements and the mound tombs to the north of the moated settlements have been turned into an outdoor museum (field museum) that realistically reproduces the structures of the time.
- As you walk around these structures, you will feel as if you have gone back in time to the Yayoi period. Even now, the unprecedented boom in Yoshinogari continues, and there is a never-ending line of visitors arriving by bus or private car. /
佐賀の旅-吉野ヶ里遺跡（その２）…古代のロマンと空前の吉野ヶ里ブーム
- 1989年3月には発掘現場の一部が公開されました。このとき、吉野ヶ里を訪れた見学者は、2力月間で約１００万人にものぼりました。さらに1991年の4月には、一カ月間で400万人にも達しました。
- 現在、発掘現場は遺跡保護のために埋め戻され、かわりに環濠集落とその北側の墳丘墓を中心とした約22haが、当時の建造物をリアルに再現した野外博物館（フィールドミュージアム）になっています。
- これらの建造物をめぐっていると、まるで弥生時代にタイムスリップしたかのような錯覚に陥ります。今でも空前の吉野ヶ里ブームは続き、観光バスやマイカーで訪れる見学者の列は絶えることがありません。
